Languages: These skills will be taught in both english and lao languages by a series of speakers from both DC LAO and partner companies and training facilities in the Lao PDR.
Qualifications required: No specific qualifications required. Some sales experience is recommended and ideally an active role in sales work. Fluent in lao or english language, and able to access online resources. Basic IT skills are required to enable video call, voice calls, screen sharing and files sharing.
Background:
This four part sales training series seeks to provide a holistic understanding of both the sales process, psychology and, more specifically, utilizing lead management to acquire new clients. The course was initially developed to support sales teams working with leads generated online by the www.yula.la and the banlao.la marketplaces. Such training allows clients to monetize more of these leads, through more cohesive and targeted sales techniques.
Students will learn how to connect with prospects quickly and meaningfully, build value in the products and services they are selling through needs analysis and consumer centered selling techniques, and take the lead to a closed sale and complete the process of a sale. Time management, sales administration and monitoring will also be covered to some extent.
This is a hands on course requiring real engagement from students - whether hosted online or at a physical venue. We will demand interaction and involvement with trainers, and expect students to be willing to leave their comfort zones. Those that finish the course will be better prepared to meet sales targets within their firm, and allow those sellers to increase the value of business they can create.
Additional programs will be launched on completion of the first course, and student feedback.
Difficulty: Basic - this is an introductory course only. However, even experienced salespeople will gain new ideas and perspectives, and will be welcome to share valuable experience with the group of students.
Certification: The success of students will be covered by two elements. The completion of course materials and training seminars + a final exam.
Part 1: 4 hours of video seminar + related activities and coursework = 6 credits

Part 2: Online Test at conclusion of 4 hours training course = 6 credits

Total Grade - 12 credits for 100% grade.
